Four steps, and you can undo the first for 14 days.
- 1
Export, or connect
In Shopify, export your products, customers, orders, discount codes, gift cards and URL redirects as CSV and upload them. Or paste an Admin API access token you already have.
- 2
Read the preview
Every product, customer and order is counted, products you already sell at the till are matched by SKU or barcode instead of copied, and what won't move is listed with its reason. Nothing is written until you press Import.
- 3
Import and review
Products arrive as drafts for you to review in the store builder. While you switch, the stock mirror keeps your Shopify store's count and ours the same, so a sale on either side is never sold twice.
- 4
Move your domain
Add the records the switch screen shows you. Your certificate is ready before anything moves, your email records stay as they are, and the screen keeps the old values if you want to put them back.
What moves
- Products, variants, options, photos and their alt text.
- Collections, pages and blog posts.
- Customers, with their marketing consent exactly as Shopify recorded it.
- Orders, as history: they never count as new sales.
- Gift card balances, as new cards emailed to their holders.
- Discount codes: percentage, fixed amount and free shipping.
- Reviews from Judge.me, Okendo, Yotpo and Shopify Product Reviews, good and bad.
- Your old addresses:
/products/and/collections/paths keep working, and your redirects come with you.
What doesn't
- Your theme. The store builder designs a new one from your brand.
- Customers' passwords. Shoppers sign in with a code sent by email.
- Subscriptions held by apps such as Recharge, because only their processor can move card details.
- Automatic discounts written as code in Shopify.
- Gift card codes themselves. No platform lets anyone read a full code, so each balance gets a new one.
Not yet
- Installing a Tuppence app from Shopify's app store. Export files and an access token you already have work today.
- Changing your domain's records in one click at your DNS host.
