Settlement is what funds our rates.
We hold funds for a short time before they can be paid out. It’s longer than some providers — and it’s the trade-off that lets us charge a lower rate.
- Your first week: T+7. For the seven days after your first payment, funds are available to pay out seven days after a transaction settles.

Pricing, answered.
Do I need the Tuppence card to get 0.79%?
No. 0.79% is the rate for UK consumer debit and credit cards for every UK business. The card adds 0.89% cashback on what you spend with it.
Is there really no fixed fee or minimum?
In the UK, yes: you pay a percentage of each payment and nothing per transaction on top. There’s no monthly fee, no set-up fee and no minimum.
Which cards cost more?
American Express is 1% more. Commercial and corporate cards are 2% more, and so are cards issued outside the UK. Surcharges stack, so a foreign-issued commercial card is 0.79% + 2% + 2% = 4.79%. The card network’s data at authorisation decides a card’s type and country.
What happens to fees when I refund?
Your customer gets the full amount back. The original processing fee is not returned to you.
When do I get my money?
In the first week after your first payment, funds are available to pay out seven days after a transaction settles (T+7). After that it’s three days (T+3), and you can ask to move to next-day settlement (T+1). Standard payouts are free and unlimited, with a £1 minimum. From your second week, instant payout pays out your pending balance straight away for 0.99%.
What if my business is registered outside the UK?
Your rate is set by the country your business is registered in. See US pricing or the full rate card for every territory.
