Give £1,000, get £1,000.
Share your code with another business. From the moment they join, their first £1,000 of card payments carry no Tuppence fee. Once they’re trading, you get £1,000 of fee-free processing too.
Two ways to earn with Tuppence.
- Any live Tuppence business can share its code
- They get £1,000 of card payments with no Tuppence fee, and so do you once they qualify
- No application, nothing to claim
- For people who bring several client businesses
- 30% of our net revenue from each one in its first year, 20% in its second, then 10%
- By application, and you can share your code while we review it
Three steps, and nothing to claim.
Every Tuppence business account has a referral code, under Refer a business in the dashboard and the app.
Share your code
Copy your link, show its QR code, or send it by WhatsApp, email, X or LinkedIn. The link is tuppence.ai/r/ plus your code, and it fills in the code when they register.
They get £1,000 straight away
The business enters your code when it registers and gets £1,000 of fee-free processing at once. It can see the offer came from you.
You get £1,000 when they qualify
Once they’ve taken £2,000 of card payments and passed our review, we add £1,000 of fee-free processing to your account the next morning and let you know.
In plain words.
The business you refer gets its £1,000 as soon as it joins with your code. Yours waits until it’s a real, trading business.
The full rules are in the Referral and Offer Terms.
You get your £1,000 when, within 12 months of joining with your code, the business you referred:
- has taken £2,000 of card payments, after refunds and disputes it lost;
- has passed our review and been approved for payouts;
- has been paid by at least 3 different cards; and
- isn’t linked to your business: no shared owners, people, bank accounts, devices or cards.
If it hasn’t qualified within 12 months, the referral expires. You can refer as many businesses as you like.
One code per account. A business can accept one code, ever: a referral code, a partner’s code or one of ours. It can enter it when it registers, or redeem it in Settings within 60 days, before it has taken £2,000 of card payments.
£1,000 of card payments with no Tuppence fee.
Fee-free processing is an amount of card payments, not money. We don’t charge our processing fee on the next £1,000 you take. It’s used automatically as you’re paid, and your dashboard shows what’s left.
The whole fee
Our rate and any surcharge on top of it: American Express, commercial cards and cards issued abroad. Payment links, checkout, subscriptions, bookings and the till all count.
Part of a payment
If a payment exceeds what’s left, we charge only the uncovered part. A £1,200 payment with £1,000 left pays the fee on £200.
What it doesn’t cover
Dispute fees, instant payout fees, card issuing fees, and any fee a platform charges you through Tuppence Connect. It isn’t restored on a refund, and it expires 12 months after it’s added.
Referrals, answered.
Where do I find my code?
In the dashboard under Refer a business, and in the app under Account → Refer a business. Every business account that isn’t a connected account has one.
What can I see about the businesses I refer?
Their business name, when they joined, and whether they’ve gone live, qualified or expired. Never their payments.
I’ve already registered. Can I still use a code?
Yes, within 60 days of creating your account and before you’ve taken £2,000 of card payments. Redeem it in Settings → Fee-free processing. After that, only we can apply a code.
Can I use more than one code?
No. Each account accepts one code, ever, and codes can’t be combined or swapped.
Can I refer my own other business?
You can’t redeem your own code, and a referral between linked businesses (sharing owners, people, bank accounts, devices or cards) doesn’t qualify.
Is it cash?
No. Fee-free processing has no cash value and can’t be paid out or transferred. It’s card payments you take without our fee.
What if a payment is refunded?
Fee-free processing used on it isn’t restored, just as our fee isn’t returned on a refund. For your referral reward, the business’s £2,000 is counted after refunds and lost disputes.
I run a platform on Tuppence Connect. How does it work for me?
Your fee-free processing covers your own payments and your connected accounts’ payments where you pay our fee. Connected accounts have no codes of their own and can’t accept one: they share their platform’s.
I introduce businesses for a living.
