1. Scope
This statement applies to this website (tuppence.ai), operated by Tuppence AI Ltd. The Tuppence dashboard, hosted checkout and pay pages, and the iPhone and iPad app (beta) are covered where stated. It does not cover third-party websites we link to, or the secure card and identity verification fields our regulated partners provide.
2. Our commitment
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at level AA. We have not yet had an independent audit, so we do not claim full conformance. Until an audit confirms otherwise, we describe this website as partially conformant: we believe most of it meets the standard, but have not proved that every page does.
3. What you can expect
On this website you should be able to:
- navigate using only a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator;
- use the “Skip to content” link at the top of every page to jump past the navigation;
- navigate with headings, landmarks and breadcrumbs that work with screen readers;
- read text in our brand colours, chosen to meet the WCAG AA contrast ratio against their backgrounds;
- understand images: informative images have text alternatives, and decorative illustrations and product mock-ups are hidden from screen readers and explained in the surrounding text;
- turn off animations with your device’s “reduce motion” setting;
- zoom in, and use the site on a small screen, without content being lost;
- fill in forms that have visible labels.
The site is a lightweight static website. It uses no analytics or third-party scripts, and sets two cookies only when you choose a country or a language (see our Cookie Policy).
4. Known limitations
Some parts may not yet be fully accessible:
- Code examples on product pages are presented in tabbed panels built to the WAI-ARIA tabs pattern. We have not yet tested them with every screen reader.
- The dashboard, pay pages and iPhone and iPad app (beta) have not yet been audited against WCAG 2.2 AA, so parts of them may not meet it. We will list the results here once they have been.
- Card details are entered into secure fields provided by our card processor, and identity verification uses our identity verification partner’s screens. We rely on those partners for the accessibility of those components.
5. Alternative formats
If you need information on this website in a different format (such as accessible PDF, large print, easy read or audio), email contact@tuppence.ai or use our contact page. Tell us:
- the page address or document name;
- the format you need;
- the assistive technology you use, if relevant.
We will reply within five business days and tell you how long the information will take.
6. Reporting problems
If you find a problem not listed above, or think we are not meeting accessibility requirements, email contact@tuppence.ai, use “Get help” in the dashboard or the iPhone and iPad app, or use our contact page. If you can, include the page, what you were trying to do, and your device, browser and assistive technology.
7. If you are not satisfied
If you are unhappy with our response, you can make a formal complaint using our complaints procedure. You can also contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service for independent advice about your rights.
8. How we test
So far this website has been checked by our own team rather than an independent auditor: by using it with a keyboard only, zooming in, using it at phone widths and with the reduce-motion setting on, and by checking that every page has headings, landmarks, labels and text alternatives. No full audit against WCAG 2.2 AA has been carried out yet; we will publish the results here when one has. We will review this statement at least every 12 months and after significant changes.
9. Technical information
This website is built with HTML and CSS, with a little JavaScript for tabs and menus. It is designed to work with current versions of major browsers and assistive technologies, and does not depend on JavaScript to show its content.
